Dealing with matters of a complex nature requires a broad range of skills and experience. Our pan European Disputes & Investigations (DI) team has presence in Paris, London, Munich, Frankfurt, Geneva, Athens, Madrid and Zurich. The DI team has worked on some of the most significant, high-profile matters in the investigative and disputes area across many European countries and beyond. The practice comprises of professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, who bring deep expertise in conducting forensic accounting, forensic technology matters, disputes, arbitration, litigation, fraud investigations and delivering expert witness reports. Our Madrid team is led by Juan Jess Valderas, one of the top leading expert witnesses in Spain. We are currently seeking to recruit a forensic accounting professional to be based in Madrid to support our Disputes & Investigations practice in Spain and across Europe. The successful candidate will: - Work closely with our Managing Director and Senior Directors / Directors on a variety of assignments in Spain and internationally- Use forensic accounting skills to investigate fraud and other financial misrepresentation- Assist with compiling, analyzing, and documenting information in an investigation, dispute, or accounting related matter- Assist in the performance of complex financial models and analyses- Assist in the preparation of Expert Witness reports of a financial or economic nature- Assist with drafting reports and other client deliverables- Assist with researching technical and industry specific issues- Develop and suggest solutions to complex problems by thinking "outside the box"- Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities- Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management The successful candidate will have a balance of the following skills: - Business university degree, ideally accounting background. Double degree (law and business) is a plus.- Fluency in Spanish and English is required (additional language skills are highly desirable).- 2-3 years of experience in audit and/or a forensic and dispute consulting practice- Ability to work to tight deadlines in combination with a positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation- Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to synthesize information from several sources and draw coherent, well-evidenced conclusions- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint- Well-developed report writing skills- Strong communication and analytical capabilities with excellent attention to detail As you will have the opportunity to be part of international projects and work with clients across EMEA, the candidate shouldd be willing to travel.
