JPMorgan Chase Communications Senior Associate, J.P. Morgan Private Client in New York, New York
Our Consumer & Community Banking communications team is seeking an experienced communications professional to help with internal, field and external communications for J.P. Morgan Private Client, a new business focused on the affluent client segment. J.P. Morgan Private Client was formed following the firm's acquisition of First Republic and its employees. The Communications team is at the center of every major issue for our business, and your role will be critical to ensure our employees have timely information on or close to real time. We're a highly motivated, fast-moving team that operates like a news organization.
As a Communications Sr. Associate within the Communications team, you will be reporting to the Head of Communications for the new business unit. Your role will involve simplifying complex financial and regulatory issues for the average reader. You will also be responsible for organizing and disseminating information through our internal channels. Your primary objective will be to keep employees connected, engaged, and informed. You will work collaboratively with the Sales Strategy team, regional sales leads, and the broader team as they aim to expand this new offering in the market. Additionally, you will support efforts to share our story with the media and our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day communications needs, including writing and editing field and executive communications; Project manage and execute major communications initiatives
Promote this new unit within the firm by finding opportunities to highlight its progress, including developing and engaging multimedia content in the Intranet
Liaise with our business to create a consistent voice across materials
Help with external communications, including drafting press materials and responding to media inquiries
Track engagement of internal communications and offer advice on the best strategy for reaching employees
Prepare presentations and participate in meetings with senior business and client stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and manage stakeholder needs and expectations
Support additional communications needs for other related projects including the First Republic integration
Assist with and manage other content projects, as needed
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
4+ years of Communications experience; Bachelor's degree required
Superior writing skills with versatility in format, including technical writing, executive messaging and copy editing
Efficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Must be a quick study of complex or technical topics and be able to simplify those concepts into clear, precise writing
Self-motivated and comfortable working on tight deadlines
Ability to recognize tasks that need to be completed and willingness to take responsibility for them
Must be able to produce urgent/crisis communications on demand, and be able to work early mornings and evenings as needed
Must be focused, accurate and organized
Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively and effectively in a group setting and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to recognize and respond well to changing priorities
Must be based in Greater NYC Metro area or Boston
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Prior experience in financial services
Experience with media
Communications experience, preferably at a large corporate firm or PR agency
