Position: Licensed Clinical Supervisor for Harm Reduction

Program: 822 Services – SAPT OASAS

Salary: $50 -$55 per hour

Remote Position with flexible work hours

Between 5-10 hours a week within the hours of 8 am to 6pm, Monday through Friday.

Program Description:

The Homeless Shelter in Reach (SAPT) Program is an OASAS funded program in collaboration with the New York City Department of Homeless Services (DHS). The SAPT Program consists of two (2) Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs), three (3) Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPAs) and one (1) Administrative Supervisor. The SAPT program staff provide harm reduction education to all shelter clients and provide ongoing recovery support services. The program staff also support linkage to care, return to care and retention in care. All clients receive services adequate to their corresponding level of care through a trauma-informed, person-centered and harm-reduction lens. All clients may also receive primary care, mental health care, pain management and other services from providers, if referred. This position reports to the Senior Director of SAPT, serving Administrative Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties of the Licensed Clinical Supervisor include but are not limited to the following activities:

  • Provide weekly individual and group clinical supervision to social work and peer advocate staff members of the SAPT program.

  • Maintain electronic documentation of supervision including schedule, notes and development plan if applicable.

  • Meet with the Administrative Supervisor bi-weekly to discuss project deliverables and supervision updates.

  • Attend project-related meetings facilitated by OASAS and DHS.

    Qualifications:

  • New York State LMSW, NYSED licensed QHP, or similar licensure required; LCSW preferred.

  • Knowledge of substance/homeless population and of behavior change approaches to treatment required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills: empathetic clinician who adopts a person-centered, harm reduction model.

  • Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience required.

  • Bilingual a plus

    All newly hired Project Renewal staff must provide verification of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
