Amalgamated Bank Client Support Associate in New York, New York

Amalgamated Bank seeks a highly motivated Client Support Associate to act in a lead capacity to provide oversight over all pricing, proxy, billing, statement, corporate actions processes. Responsible for liaising with Investor Relations, FIS, clients and other stakeholders to resolve inquiries, escalating problems and identify trends.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work directly with client facing teams to resolve issues. This may include billing discrepancies, access issues, statement troubleshooting, etc.

  • Escalate operational issues to FIS as necessary, working directly with FIS counterparts to resolve.

  • Use judgement when analyzing client issues to determine trends with billing, statement, UNITY and other issues. Report to FIS and partner with stakeholders to resolve.

  • Determine account and reporting access for both clients and employees to systems based on business need.

  • Ensure account and portfolio affiliations are appropriately assigned.

  • Review input of Client & Outsourcing Support Admin to ensure accuracy of billing, statement, fee and other setups.

  • Oversight over new account setups, statement processing, pricing, proxy, corporate actions, billing, and other affiliations.

  • Ensure all statements are released, pricing is accurate, billing is processed, GL accounting entries are processed appropriately.

  • Oversight over all FIS related communication that impacts clients or the bank.

  • Partner with Client Support Manager on internal and external communication with Investor Relations and Commercial Banking for Trust Clients, assisting with client communication when requested.

  • Oversight over tax reporting processes for clients, including communications with FIS & the IRS through filing.

  • Ability to provide reasonable coverage and backup for Client Support Manager and other peers including those on cross functional teams during planned and unplanned time off.

  • Oversight over DC37 Annuitant Program, including review of processing components and communication with client facing contacts.

  • Annual participation in career development planning

  • Perform various administrative duties as directed

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work related experience

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • General knowledge of securities industry’s policies and procedures.

  • Proven track record of the ability to work independently and make decisions that impact internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience working in a supervisory capacity preferred.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the global custody industry.

  • Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, Access)

    Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $60,000.00 – $70,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
