Baillie Gifford International LLC Client Relationship Director in New York, New York

Execute Baillie Gifford Overseas Intermediaries relationship management & business development responsibilities focusing on financial institution clients and prospects in alignment with the group business plan. Plan, direct, or coordinate marketing policies and programs, including determining the demand for Baillie Gifford products and services and competitors, and identify potential customers. Identify company specific end state goals and identify Baillie Gifford new business opportunities and the steps required to execute. Monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services. Identify and execute any existing mandate at-risk-defense plans. Develop, own, and execute account plans specific to each firm assigned. Work as a teammate to coordinate client service deliverables with key stakeholders within the business, including Investment Managers and Specialists. Represent company at chosen client and industry events. Invest in internal relationship building across the firm in order to deliver a One BG experience to clients. Work collaboratively with key partners across Baillie Gifford. Responsible for client and prospect account plan design and execution analysis. Represent US financial institutions on globally distributed leadership groups. Lead meetings and events with senior decision-makers in order to execute business plan. Create marketing plans and execute at key industry events to target new business and decide on how the Firm should be represented there. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics or foreign degree equivalent with at least 10 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in intermediaries relationship management with global investment management firm. Experience must include: C-Suite networking; Mutual fund and retail SMA sales; RIA business development; Portfolio management for $1bn+ AUM; Strategic financial marketing and brand development; Global distribution committees; and Financial conference presentations. Must have FINRA Licenses Series 7 & 63 and CFA Level 1. Must be willing to travel domestically (33% approx.) and international travel (20-30 days/year). 40 hours/week. Salary is $250,000/year.
