Nuveen Investments Charles River IMS - Sr. Business Analyst in New York, New York
Nuveen has an opportunity for a Sr. Business Analyst who has strong Charles River IMS and Asset Management experience. This position will work closely with our business stakeholders, users, and IT to define business workflows, enhance current processes, and support trading and operational functions.
This role will require the candidate to have a strong command of Charles River Server and Desktop functionalities while designing solutions. We are seeking an individual who has this experience within a financial services organization.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Perform analysis of business activities to determine business requirements. Collaborates with business users to understand and define needs beyond requirements provided by the business.
Provide application and production support for the Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS).
Configure Manager Workbench, blotters, queries, workflow monitors, amongst other components of CRIMS.
Use existing workflows and control points, work with traders, risk operations and the CRD development team to build and configure new workflows that meet the needs of the business. Analyst will also need to design and document new workflows.
Function as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technology organization to ensure proper implementation of requirements within the expected timetable. Communicates any material modifications of business requirements to business stakeholders.
Collaborate with the QA team in developing high level test plans. Review test cases developed by the QA team. Collaborates with the automated testing team when needed for performance / load testing as well as automated regression testing.
Ensure a positive end product for business stakeholders by overseeing the implementation of custom configurations. Creates and maintains proper training materials and business documentation.

Qualifications :
Required:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Business Analyst
Minimum of 3+ years of CRIMS experience (v.23R1), (i.e., configuration)
Minimum three years of experience in the financial services industry, supporting buy-side technology, specifically with equity trading and/or fixed income trading.
Possess advanced hands-on SQL skills.
Prefer:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business or technology related field.
Experienced communicating with senior level stakeholders such as the Heads of Trading, Portfolio management, Compliance and Operations
Exposure to Compliance, EMS’s, Blotter, Tier, and Data Loads.
Broad background in Equity and Fixed Income trading including but not limited to trading systems, execution management systems, order management, etc.
Proven ability to efficiently utilize resources and communicate with others, both verbally and in writing.
Proven analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to make independent decisions.
Proven ability to develop creative solutions to meet business needs.
Experience with writing technical requirements.
Ability to understand stakeholder needs and build effective relationships.

Base Pay Range: $104,300/yr. - $147,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
