Citigroup C15-Engagement & Adoption Lead -Data Quality Sr Group Manager in New York, New York

This role is a critical member of the CDO - Data Operations function, reporting into the Data Quality Center of Excellence Lead. The Engagement & Adoption Lead will be responsible for managing a team of adoption specialists to define the end-to-end engagement and adoption data governance journey, develop materials to train and guide, and support compliance with Citi’s Data Governance Policy/Standards (CDGP/S).

The role will be responsible for designing the operating models to implement activities to drive awareness, enablement, execution, adoption and management of the Data Quality Principles of the CDGP/S, through collaboration with enterprise, relevant businesses, functions, regions, and start/end points. The role is responsible for managing risks, issues, and conflicts related to plan execution and transition to BAU adoption ensuring compliance. The Engagement & Adoption Director should be an expert in communication, analysis, oversight, and leadership to define the data governance journey, front-to-back, including guidance to train impacted areas to facilitate adoption. Additionally, the Engagement & Adoption Director will exercise cross-organizational diplomacy and outreach to senior-level stakeholders to ensure cohesiveness and cooperation among the leadership and teams, to put into effect the defined Adoption operating model. The role will also help define the narrative for Data Quality and Controls, including reinforcing its value proposition and benefits to the Business.

Responsibilities:

  • Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval

  • Design, oversee, and implement the execution of Enterprise Data Quality requirements, procedures and the Data Quality operating models, including scoring requirements

  • Partner with Product Management to ensure development of suitable tools which enable efficient execution of required operating models

  • Design, oversee, and implement the collection of suitable metrics that demonstrate the effective performance of the operating models

  • Educate and mobilize Data Risk and Controls officers to perform their responsibilities under existing operating models, effectively leveraging the Certification processes

  • Report Data Quality issues through Citi’s corresponding Data/Issue management process

  • Lead migration of legacy systems to new enterprise platforms

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in a complex, financial organization, with a particular focus in Data Quality, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams

  • Advanced domain knowledge of Data Governance methodologies, with a focus on Data Quality is preferred. Practical experience in implementing Data Governance and Data Quality processes is highly preferred

  • Can effectively lead change in an organization with Citigroup’s size, scale and complexity; Experience leveraging the processes and principles of change Strategic mindset, who can see ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies

  • Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomes

  • Manages through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems

  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizations; and demonstrates effective work relationships with business and global function colleagues

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
