Position: Business Objects Developer (Contract)Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY 10001Rate: $50-$55 per hourDeadline: 4/16 by 2:00 PMRequirements:Submit degree copy with applicationSend resume in Word formatProvide real examples of Business Objects usageResponsibilities:Develop and maintain reporting structures, data structures, Business Objects Universes, SQL queries, and reportsCollaborate with vendor and internal teams for compliant reportingOffer guidance on query and reporting tools usageAid in establishing and managing query/reporting environmentsDesign, develop, test, and implement reporting structures and queriesMaintain detailed documentation for reporting designSkills & Abilities:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in reporting development in large data warehouse environmentsExtensive knowledge of Business Objects ArchitectureExcellent business analysis skillsProficiency in Oracle SQL, SQL Server, PL/SQL (DB2 a plus)Ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlinesBO Java SDK Development experience is a plusUnderstanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing Architecture & DesignExperience:Minimum 7 years of Business Object XI experience (R3.1- R4.1 required, R4.2 preferred)Proficiency in relational databases - Oracle, SQL Server, DB2Understanding of SDLC and major project iterationsQuick learner with ability to become SME in business data definitionsExperience working with senior business managersSelf-starter with ability to multitask and adapt to project demandsEducation:BA in MIS, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
