New York Life's Retail Annuities (RA) Analytics team collaborates with colleagues and leaders throughout the organization, supporting their efforts with innovation solutions grounded in data, statistics, and insights.

RA Analytics is searching for a skilled analytics professional to join our team of data scientists and analysts. In this role, you will support multiple business areas, providing solutions to a wide range of internal stakeholders across our organization. In addition to delivering timely insights and analyses, you will champion our digital automation efforts, putting real-time data in the hands of end-users to support their decision making.

Responsibilities
Partner with members of Marketing, Sales, Strategy, Product, and Service to identify their analytical needs, and develop solutions to support them
Design, automate, and maintain dashboards using Tableau software
Provide ongoing reporting (e.g., sales, demographics, firm insights) to business leaders within the Retail Annuities organization
Use analytics to uncover insights and identify growth opportunities for the business
Measure efficacy of significant campaigns and sales initiatives, and assist in design, targeting, and refinement of ongoing and future campaigns
Collaborate with other members of the RA Analytics team, as well as other analytics departments, to share best practices, leverage analytical techniques, and champion an organizational culture where data is central to decision making

Requirements
At least 2+ years of experience working in business intelligence, data analysis, or finance roles
Proficiency with data querying languages (e.g., SQL)
Proficiency with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot-tables and vlookups)
Quantitative aptitude with proven ability to draw insights from data
Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
Preferred
Familiarity with Python or R

Salary range:$77,000.00 - $120,000.00
Overtime eligible:Exempt
