Job Description

The Business Banking Deposits Senior Product Manager is responsible for checking and fee related Business deposit products. The role must have a customer focused mindset with a passion for driving strategies to accelerate business deposits growth, financials and aligns the end-to-end strategy for all Business Checking products. There is a need for expertise in the competitive, regulatory and fintech environments to anticipate the changing customer needs. The Product Manager must possess strategic coordination across enabling functions to ensure consistent, competitive and compliant product delivery. This position is an expert in defining clear growth and retention strategies to drive profitable portfolio and core customer growth .

BUSINESS CHECKING STRATEGY, VISION, AND PLANNING

  • Drive product P&L profitability and performance, managing short- and long-term outcomes of the transaction deposit product portfolio including connection to roadmap, objectives, key results, and strategic investments.

  • Pulls from market and competitive insights, customer needs, and internal business priorities to develop business checking product vision (target customer segments, markets, channels, go to market approach, and value propositions).

  • Aligns strategy with overall business deposits strategic vision by working with cross-functional stakeholders to help shape the product roadmap, investment areas and success measures.

  • Owns and manage product roadmap, OKRs, and strategic investments for Checking account product while driving decisions for product offerings, and end-to-end product management.

  • Gathers competitive, customer, market, and internal business priorities to continually optimize strategy that drives business deposits growth.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH, INSIGHT AND EXECUTION

  • Identifies initial and ongoing Checking account strategy by communicating and incorporating customer/user needs, competitive landscape, business objectives, the bank's strategic advantage and economic environment to enhance new or existing deposits strategy.

  • Demonstrates deep understanding of product through internal/external research (e.g., creation of personas, story maps, chartering/mapping experience).

  • Manage risks within the experience and portfolio through clear understanding of the current and future competitive, regulatory, financial and reputation risks

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT AND OPTIMIZATION

  • Develops, analyses, monitors, and reports on product performance metrics from internal and external sources to identify key trends and opportunities for continuous improvement. Uses performance metrics to drive towards progress on Checking product strategies and initiatives.

  • Influences and drives alignment across functions, channels, and lines of business to set product strategy, manage performance, and optimize execution.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Drive product development and actively engage cross-functional stakeholders to enable faster speed to market and maximize return on spend in decision making for the product roadmap (e.g., issue resolution, MVP definition, ongoing prioritization).

  • Prioritize resources across developing new products and reimagining existing products.

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

- Ten or more years of related work experience

- Experience managing cross functional areas with direct / indirect reports

- Knowledge of strategic direction of Deposits (Business), and practical / conceptual grounding in the function

  • Experience working with Jira, Mural and Confluence applications

- Deep knowledge of industry and competitor products / services

- Strong influencing, coaching, mentoring skills

- Proven success in building trust-based relationships with peers and key stakeholders

- Strong understanding of banking financials and impacts of deposits

- Proven experience growing and retaining core business banking customers

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
