Purpose of Role:

The Brokerage Analyst is responsible for the production of invoices and the collection of debt relating to ETD and OTC trading activity. Manage a portfolio of accounts. Maintain details of all calls / correspondence relating to the collection of the debt. Work to strict month end deadlines. Monthly collection targets are set at revenue + 4% of the aged. Monthly review of the aged debtor. Build relationships both internally with our brokers and externally with the customer base. Ad-hoc requests

Brokerage is at the heart of the firm working closely with many of our business areas globally. We manage all commissions earned from all of our offerings ETD/OTC/DMA/Equity/ADHOC

Any business dealings with a commission attached leaving the firm would be produced by Brokerage. The teams based in London/ Paris and Chicago are responsible for the creation and collection of all invoices produced circa $40M per calendar month. We service over 100+ desks around the globe and face their clients to collect any amounts they owe.

Due to the fast growth of the firm we have to be agile and adaptable. We have, to ensure we have the tools in place to allow us to facilitate any new business line. This is not just technology, the team have to be ready to respond and be up to the challenge.

Responsibilities:

Daily

  • Review of daily trade feeds T+1 (trading day plus one business day).

  • Review and correction of error trades as required.

  • Produce and distribute T+1 trade recaps to the desks

  • Review and amend any discrepancies from the trade recaps.

  • Responsible for brokerage cash collection. Chase down all outstanding debt with customers by contacting via email and phone.

  • Resolve any queries with the brokerage desk. Where trades have to be amended, produce new invoices and forward to the customer.

  • Apply all cash received into the bank and the brokerage system paying down invoices per the customers instructions.

  • Nostros must be cleared down by month end.

Monthly

  • Ensure all trades have been captured and reported correctly.

  • Production of monthly invoices.

  • Ensure all cash received in the month has been applied.

  • Production of month end debtors for the desks.

Other Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.

  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

  • At all times complying with Marex's Code of Conduct.

  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility

  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required

  • To escalate risk events immediately

  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years working in financial services collections.

  • Used to working with a high volume of debtors.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working to targets and deadlines.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team as required

  • Strong commitment to the tasks at hand and going the extra mile where necessary.

  • A keen eye for process improvement and an ability to make suggestions to enhance and automate processes where possible.

  • Peoplesoft experience or similar systems experience is preferred but not essential.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are a must, especially Excel

  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.

Salary Range: $80,000 to $110,000 per year plus discretionary bonus.
