Job Title: Biologist

Type: Contract 6 months

Location: New York NY (East Village area)

Shift: M-F 8-5

Pay: $40/hour

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters in Biology, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline

• 3 months+ of experience, either academic or in industry including internships/co-ops

• Must be proficient in cell culture, aseptic technique, ddPCR, and ELISA

  Responsibilities:

• The Biologist will be responsible for the routine testing and assist with the establishment of new methods for characterization of AAV in novel targets for neurodegenerative disorders.

• The Scientist will interact with other departments and coordinate efforts across departments.

• The ideal candidate will have a track record of molecular biology and developing assays.

• Responsible for routine and release analytical testing using ddPCR, ELISA/MSD, and setting up cell-based potency assays, flow cytometry assays

• Routine lab maintenance of aliquoting, cell culture maintenance

• Generate SOP documents and author CoT’s
