The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Associate Research Scientist in New York, New York

We are seeking an Associate Research Scientist to be part of a project team focused on discovering, translating, and developing next generation therapeutic targets using cutting edge technologies (CRIPSR/CAS9 in vivo screens, Flow cytometry, multiplex imaging, Bulk RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, single cell RNAseq).

  • Serve as a leader of the research team, reporting directly to PI
  • Provide mentorship to junior members of our lab, including PhD students, undergraduates, and early-state postdoctoral fellows.
  • Perform laboratory experiments and conduct data analysis
  • Generate reliable and reproducible data
  • Design experiments and execute on protocols; propose modification to protocols as needed
  • Maintain accurate records, write reports, and prepare presentations
  • contribute to the writing and submission of manuscripts and grant applications in collaboration with the PI.
  • Contribute to project team as well as overall laboratory organization and safety

  • MD, PhD, or both required.
  • 3-5 years of Postdoctoral training in academic environment
  • Experience working in molecular biology, cell biology, and pre-clinical animal models.
