Associate Research Scientist - Theoretical High-Energy Astrophysics (THEA) group

The Theoretical High-Energy Astrophysics (THEA) group at the Columbia University invites applications for a position as Associate Research Scientist in the Columbia Astrophysics Laboratory. The successful candidates will conduct independent and collaborative research under the guidance of Professors Andrei Beloborodov, Zoltan Haiman, Yuri Levin, Brian Metzger and Lorenzo Sironi. The expected start date is on or around September 1, 2023. The initial appointment is for one year, with renewal for up to two additional years, contingent upon satisfactory performance and continuation of funding.


Applicants must hold a PhD in Physics or Astronomy or related field, by the date of the appointment and are expected to work well independently and cooperatively with a team.
