The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Associate Research Scientist in New York, New York

The Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health, and the Department of Environmental Heath Sciences at Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health, seek an Associate Research Scientist. The incumbent will work on the organization and documentation of three large inter-related research database systems, design and implementation of statistical analyses involving longitudinal data and complex methods including multi-level time-series modeling, and participation in development of scientific manuscripts and grant proposals. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree, at least three years of postdoctoral research experience and expertise in the use of relational database systems and statistical software including SIR/XS, SPSS, SAS and R. Requirements include experience working with maternal-child health data and large data sets, including the integration and analysis of biological, neurodevelopmental, anthropometric and neurological data.
