The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to a Senior Associate Director, Operations, the Associate Director oversees a diverse portfolio of Open Enrollment, Custom, Online and Blended programs throughout their development and delivery phases. The incumbent requires a bilingual skillset fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, with responsibilities extending to both Chinese-speaking and English-Speaking institutional and corporate clients. This person will be an integral team player, contributing to the establishment and implementation of best practices, ensuring seamless program execution, and maintaining high-quality standards. open to supporting others and contributing to the development and roll-out of best practices.

This is a temporary position for nine (9) months with possibility for extension to a permanent role.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a portfolio of Open Enrollment, Custom, Online and Blended programs, while closely communicating with faculty, participants, and clients regarding logistics and program content both pre- and post-program.
  • Partners with the New Business Development team in the operationalization of new programs. Attends client meetings to provide Program Management insights and builds client relationships in the early phases of client relationships. and develop understanding of faculty compensation agreements.
  • Oversees and sources all program materials including faculty curriculum materials, readings, assessments, and supplies. Works closely with Operation and Production staff to oversee material production and quality control within scheduled deadlines.
  • Provides on-site support for both on-campus and offsite in-person programs. Works to set up virtual course sites and manages live sessions for virtual programs as needed. Manages the hardware and software required to support the learning experience.
  • Leads and coordinates all aspects of event planning for programs including coordinating with faculty director and participating faculty, Campus Operations and Catering departments, conference center staff, technology staff, and participants. Maintains and cultivates good working relationships with external vendors.
  • Manages program evaluation process, by collecting and analyzing data and feedback for faculty and clients to ensure the program is achieving the highest level of quality and effectiveness. Schedules after-action reviews as necessary to review program feedback with relevant faculty, staff, and client contacts. Manages the program expense reporting process, including drafting, and submitting faculty commitment letters, preparing post-program financials, including liaising with clients on program reimbursables.
  • Conducts after-action reviews after each program delivery and adjusts future iterations in coordination with faculty and senior staff members.
  • Partners with a Senior Associate Director, Operations to provide oversight and support of Assistant Director on the team on project or program basis.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. 3-5 years of related experience required.
  • Must be bi-lingual: English and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-orientated and proven track record of taking initiative and is able to anticipate and prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform non-routine work, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently, as well as within teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Learning Management Systems, and other common educational software and digital tools.
  • Ability to travel to programs and visit possible venues.
  • Some evenings and weekends necessary.
  • Must be based in the Greater New York area and adhere to the school and department hybrid-work policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • International work or educational experience strongly preferred. Prior experience in event management, project management and Salesforce a plus.
