BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. is hiring an Associate, Application Engineer (ref. Code R245168) in New York, NY.Duties: Design, implement, and maintain robust data warehouse infrastructure. Collaborate with Product Owner teams, Data Stewardship teams, and senior engineers to understand requirements and assist in designing the best approach. Create technical design documents to describe the planned solution and the upstream and downstream dependencies. Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, application design, system development, testing, implementation, and production support. Leverage and learn core technologies designed in-house to scale solutions. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or a related field and two (2) years of experience as an Analyst; Graduate Analyst; or a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Programming using Java and Python including test driven development and object oriented design and programming; Agile software development methodologies; Git or Maven; Using SQL and corresponding tools to query data within large datasets in a business environment; Data warehousing solutions including Snowflake, Sybase IQ, or Cassandra; and Spring Boot.
