Design, develop, and test new ION plugins that can enhance the ability of the traders to execute trades efficiently. Collaborate with traders, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements for new features and functionality. Ensure that new features align with regulatory compliance and best practices in the fixed income trading industry. Work with various data sources and APIs to integrate market data, trading data, and analytics into the trading platform. Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Optimize software components to handle high-frequency trading and large data volumes efficiently. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure low-latency trading operations. Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the pricing stream. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and bugs in a timely manner. Ensure the system is up and running smoothly, minimizing downtime. Keep software and dependencies up to date to address security vulnerabilities and maintain compatibility. Maintain thorough documentation stating the architecture, design, and implementation of the vast and complex software responsible for Pricing stream and Data sources and its integration into the trading application. Develop and execute test cases to ensure the reliability and correctness of trading software. Perform regression testing and work on test automation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, compliance officers, and IT support, to ensure a smooth and compliant trading environment. Communicate effectively to report progress, issues, and solutions to stakeholders.Requirements:Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered or as a Software DeveloperOR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or as a Software DeveloperAll of the required experience must have included experience with: software engineering; software development methodologies and life cycles; Java and C#; ION Trading platform; WPF technology; API integration; software architecture; and troubleshooting and resolving system issues. *This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
