Overview

Oversees all items related to student life, which connects the student experience from application to graduation. Develop and implement marketing and recruitment strategies to meet enrollment targets. Manage the counseling of prospective students for admissions requirements, application procedures, housing, financial aid options, application completion, document verification, scheduling of interviews, application processing, establishing admissions guidelines and application deadlines for Dental Hygiene Programs. Provide guidance, clarification and interpretation of Dental Hygiene Program policies and procedures. Advise students deemed to be on academic discipline by the Dental Hygiene Academic Review Committee. Establish monitoring system in the Dental Hygiene Program to identify students who are at risk for academic difficulty, encountering academic difficulty, as well as those who are on academic discipline. Work with Academic Advisor and faculty course directors in monitoring students' academic progress in the hygiene curriculum and ensure that students are on track for their expected graduation date; track and ensure that remediated and incomplete grades are posted in a timely fashion. Manage degree audits to ensure graduate candidates are ready for degree conferral. Create and implement student events including, but not limited to open houses, seminars, presentations, workshops, fairs, and orientations.

Required Education:
Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:
5+ years Advising students, planning and implementing special events and programs, working in student services and admissions or an equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to advise and problem solve while interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion in the dissemination of information. Demonstrate patience for student and faculty frustration and hostility. Demonstrated skill in establishing cooperative working relationships with staff of all levels, faculty, academic personnel, employers, and alumni. Familiarity with MS Office Suite, Google Applications, and database software. Prior experience updating and maintaining website and social media content. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel.


Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
