JPMorgan Chase Asset Management - Client Account Manager - Vice President in New York, New York

The Client Service team is responsible for maintaining the Client Service vision, strategy and day to day management of over 1800 Asset Management clients across the Institutional, Sub Advisory, and Alternatives client businesses. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing client relationships while maximizing opportunities and further penetrating target markets to achieve business goals. The Client Service team works heavily on process improvements and creating change through collaboration across all businesses from Sales, Investments, Technology, Legal, and Operations. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional client service to Institutional clients of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. As the main point of contact for daily servicing needs of our clients, you will develop an understanding of the unique requirements of clients across all asset classes and champion those requirements within the context of the larger firm. In addition, you will partner with Senior Client Account Managers to provide similar support to strategically important clients of JP Morgan as well as partner with colleagues in Institutional Sales and Client Portfolio Management to form an integrated client service team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the service relationship for assigned group of clients, aligned with the Client Advisor & Client Investment Specialist

  • Act as the central point of contact for clients for non-investment related activity and proactively manage and develop relationships with clients

  • Coordination and project management of all client life-cycle events, in partnership with internal stakeholders, including onboarding, fees, guidelines, benchmarks, reporting and any other client requests

  • Coordination of the Investment Management Agreement negotiation process, in partnership with internal teams, including finalization & execution of the agreement with the client

  • Ensure client impacting regulatory change and business change is communicated to the client and internal stakeholders

  • Maintenance of client records, Coordination of client cash flows, Verify eligibility of clients for participation in fund vehicles, and Follow up with clients on all outstanding invoices

  • Work with RFP Team to provide information and/or responses to prospect questions, in support of the full client life-cycle

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous experience at an asset management firm; background in client service and/or institutional client base

  • Ability to develop strong client and internal relationships and an in-depth understanding of client servicing needs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Risk and control mindset; detail oriented

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and to manage complex assignments

  • Undergraduate degree required; advanced degrees, other financial qualifications and licenses a plus (e.g. CFA, Series 7)
