The Area Sales Executive (“ASE”) is an outside sales and account management role with focus on securing new business and growing established base of accounts. Requires significant face-to-face customer selling and contact in retail locations. The ASE will be responsible for executing and delivering monthly, quarterly and annual sales and business quotas in addition to other tasks assigned by the business. The ASE must be able to articulate the NCR ATLEOS value proposition for key solutions, effectively develop and manage an ongoing sales pipeline, as well as collaborate with internal resources to build organizational capacity. Candidate must exhibit excellent presentation, negotiation, and communications skills and have demonstrated a successful track record of achieving sales objectives and closing new business opportunities within the small independent business segment.

Responsibilities:

  • Sign up and onboard new merchants and agents in assigned region by identifying prospects in line with the business strategy and assigned financial metrics.

  • Cross sells products and services to new and existing customers and sells in new product and service offerings.

  • Builds partnerships with key customers, ensures customer needs are resolved promptly, signs contract renewals and extensions, and renegotiates deals as required.

  • Create, implement, execute and maintain a comprehensive Area Sales business plan to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual business quotas. Analyse business data on current product information, industry trends and competitor’s offerings to anticipate industry direction and changes and proactively adjust sales plan accordingly.

  • Identify sales opportunities within the Independent Business segment to increase the ATM footprint of customer locations that Cardtronics will place and process ATM terminals consistent with the companies financial/profitability objectives.

  • Proactively prospect and develop leads within potential new customer networks to expand our customer base. Regular activities include utilizing networking connections, cold calling, on-site customer meetings, social media or other means of generating interest from potential customers in the assigned territory.

  • Maintain an accurate, comprehensive and updated sales pipeline with 100% of opportunities and activities entered into Salesforce as required.

  • Build and orchestrate sales pipeline activity. Ensure active nurturing of movement of opportunities to close.

  • Ensures that all customer contracts are done to the correct standards and that all required processes are followed.

  • Supports management in the achievement of the business plans and targets (such as network, volume, revenue and profitability)

  • Implement and maintain call cycle to ensure execution of account development strategies, developing customer relationship excellence, prospecting/closing new business and minimize customer churn.

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with new and existing clients. Perform research on, and demonstrate deep understanding of, client business challenges and strategies.

  • Establish a high level of personal credibility with key customers in the course of providing appropriate level of customer relationship management (optimal meeting frequency), managing contract proposals and negotiations, acting as key contact during service implementation, and any other customer issues with ownership/oversight and coordination of final resolutions.

  • Follow established internal sales processes and effectively qualify, document, manage and forecast opportunities into, through and out of sales funnel. Prepare and reviews sales reports by identifying and evaluating problem areas and company progress.

  • Attend sales calls with Manager and provide update on all relevant sales issues and opportunities

  • Attend marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and industry or customer events to generate leads and build customer relationships as required.

  • Validate correct customer information and ensure proper documents for order processing.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Systems Involved:

  • Able to efficiently use Microsoft Office, ADP Self Service, Salesforce, Oracle etc as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales, with demonstrated ability to expand network and markets.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver new customers where directed to satisfy organizational targets and meet evolving business needs.

  • Sells full portfolio of products and services consistent with business goals and objectives.

  • Understanding of solution selling and creating value for business clients.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, able to effectively and proactively identify and analyze challenges and find appropriate solutions.

  • Outstanding organizational skills; able to prioritize workload and action plans.

  • Post Secondary degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Bilingual- Written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish required.

  • Experience in ATM, Financial, and Transaction processing industry a plus.

  • 3+ years experience in a business-to-business sales environment, creating and executing an area sales management plan.

  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Excellent computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong customer service skills and orientation.

  • Ambitious self-starter with a strong desire to win and high level of resiliency.

  • Ability to work well with cross functional teams and thrive in a growing and changing environment.

  • Ability to be self-directed – Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to grow market share.

  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Exceptional organization, time-management and prioritization skills.

  • Proven and seasoned sales person in pursuing net new clients, developing business and networking with passion.

  • Self-motivated, energetic, professional, able to perform job duties with minimal supervision in contributing to the overall success of the team.

  • Solid track record of meeting sales targets and an undeniable drive to succeed.

  • Experience in selling to independent retail locations convenience /grocery stores/gas stations

  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory and attend company and team meetings.

  • Must be able to pass all applicable background screening tests.

Salary Range:

$48,000.00 - $72,000.00

Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.
