Citigroup Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst in New York, New York

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas. Liaise with business and business analysts on modeling enhancements of Liquidity Stress Tests and suggest solutions or alternatives based on business requests. Utilize Java and Object-Oriented Programming to develop liquidity stress testing modeling and applications, incorporating advanced techniques such as multi-threading and design patterns for optimal performance. Leverage Microsoft SQL Server Database for modeling data and creating relational databases of data received from upstreams. Ensure seamless data management and retrieval for accurate liquidity stress testing. Use Hadoop ecosystem for storage and processing of large datasets across clusters of computers. Implement tools like Impala, Hive, and Java Spark to interact with data, facilitating development, visualization, analysis, and testing processes. Use data structures and algorithms for data storage and retrieval. Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation. Provide user and operational support on applications to business users. Utilize specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems and issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement. Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality. Engage with business analysts and clients to create complex modelling solutions to enhance application. Consult with users and clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install customer exposure systems. Provide level 3 support. Troubleshoot and resolve issues. Develop and deploy microservices architectures using Spring Boot. Collaborate with business analysts on modeling enhancements of Liquidity Stress Tests. Provide suggestions and alternatives based on business requests, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements such as LCR, NSFR, and FR2052A. Engage with business analysts and clients to create complex modeling solutions, leveraging additional skills in Angular and Node JS for front-end development. Stay informed about capital markets trends and regulations, integrating this knowledge into development process. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 4 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst, Technical Program Applications Developer or related position involving development of software applications for liquidity stress testing and regulatory reporting. 4 years of experience must include: Java, Object Oriented Programming; multi-threading and design patterns; Relational and Microsoft SQL Server Database; Spring Boot; Hadoop ecosystem; Impala, Hive, and Java Spark; Liquidity Stress Testing and regulatory reporting; Data Structures and Algorithms; Angular and Node JS; LCR, NSFR, FR2052A regulations; and Capital markets.
