City of New York ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT AUDITOR in New York, New York

Job Description

Under direction of the Director of Logistics and Inventory, with wide latitude for the exercise of independent judgment, initiative and action, performs extremely difficult, responsible and complex work, the ideal candidate performs professional work in the conduct of complex and detailed financial, operational and management audits including reviews of information technology systems such as Oracle and Maximo.

  • Lead and review all planning all field audits which includes on-site review of full audits.

  • Provide quality assurance on the efficiency of the audits.

  • Review ad hoc field and warehouse audits.

  • Oversee regularly scheduled audits of the LIC and TRAM warehouses.

  • Evaluate systems of internal control, management and operation for effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with the daily and weekly LIC Warehouse cycle counts.

  • Examine spreadsheets of accounts and related records to determine compliance of methods and procedures.

  • Authorize to make inventory corrections via the Oracle system.

  • Prepare and draft weekly LIC Warehouse cycle count, pick-pack shipments and delivery reports.

  • Attend meetings.

  • Work conducted in both Oracle and Maximo system.

  1. Due to the existence of a civil service list, candidates must have permanent civil service status in the title of Administrative Management Auditor to be considered.

Qualifications

  1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 credits in accounting, including one course each in advanced accounting, auditing and cost accounting and five years of full-time experience in management auditing, EDP auditing, financial accounting and/or financial auditing, at least 18 months of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity or in the supervision of several teams of auditors; or

  2. A valid Certified Public Accountant License or a certificate as a Certified Internal Auditor and four years of full-time experience as indicated in "1" above, at least 18 months of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity or in the supervision of several teams of auditors.
