Robert Half Accounts Receivable Manager in New York, New York

Description

Rapidly expanding New York City firm is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager. Ideal candidate for the Accounts Receivable Manager position will be responsible for overseeing the billing process, supervising team members, maintaining client records, and ensuring accuracy in invoicing.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of the accounts receivable department, including invoice and statement procedures

• Supervise and manage accounts receivable staff to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently

• Monitor customer account details for irregularities such as non-payments and delayed payments

• Reconcile all ledger and bank transactions to ensure accuracy in financial records

• Verify and post incoming payments to secure revenue

• Generate regular reports including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end audits

• Conduct performance appraisals, mentoring, and disciplinary actions for accounts receivable staff

• Generate financial statements and reports for management review

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal jurisdictions regarding all payments, tax filings, and reporting

• Participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Real Estate industry.

• Proficiency in Yardi or MRI a must.

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes and procedures.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
