This permanent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator is in the New York, New York area. Candidates who can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, will be preferred for this position.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Post and balance financial information in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts

• Manage monthly closings and annual reports, including handling payments and compiling segments in compliance with GAAP

• Carry out general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures

• Verify the correctness of documents and codes

• Carry out, convey, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the company

• Respond to requests for information from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders

• Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

  Requirements - Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent attention to detail

• 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• Cash applications experience preferred

• Experience with Commercial Collections

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required

• Chargebacks experience desired

• Demonstrated knowledge of QuickBooks

• Adeptness in factoring

• Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Current and relevant ERP system experience
