FirstService Residential Accounts Payable Coordinator in New York, New York
FirstService Residential New York is seeking a Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team! Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the processing of financial management/property management tasks via a ticketing system software called ZenDesk.
Processes check requests through an accounts payable software called AvidXchange for the condominium and cooperative managed properties.
Completes account reconciliations for managers as well as for those shareholders and unit owners that call our in-house 24/7 Customer Care Center with billing inquiries.
Updates our financial management software with billing address changes at the request of the property management team.
Researches shareholder and unit owner payment inquiries.
Sets up new Vendors in the financial management software at the request of managers and assist in vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
Issues deposit refunds to shareholders and unit owners.
Acts as the liaison between shareholders and unit owners, Board of Directors, and Property Management teams.
Provides excellent customer service in order to support our internal and external customers.
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies:
Bachelorâs degree preferred.
1-2 years of accounts receivable and/or accounts payable experience preferred.
The ability to learn new software quickly. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Experience with Zendesk and/or AvidXchange a plus.
Proven organizational skills with attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
Ability to handle customer relationship management, provide strong customer consultative skills and work in a large-team environment.
Ability to be assertive with decision-making.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
May participate in any variety of meetings and workgroups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
Follow company policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
