Description

Public Relations/Marketing Strategy firm is looking to hire an Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant to their team. They are located in NYC and have a hybrid work schedule, so are seeking locally based candidates only.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements to summarize and forecast organizations financial status.

• Produce weekly Cash Flow reports for the management team’s review.

• Review weekly A/P reports: prepare weekly vendor payments schedule and oversee collections efforts.

• Review all outgoing client invoices for accuracy.

• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.

• Prepare a monthly report on accrued accounts (accrued income / expenses).

• Review Expensify submissions - audit to ensure proper expense classification and that expense reports follow the company’s expense guidelines.

• Review client budgets and ensure all items were billed on the monthly invoice list.

• Prepare and file monthly state / local excise, sales and use tax.

• Track and prepare schedules for intercompany transfers.

• Assist in the provision of information to support internal & external audits.

• Help train and guide contributing members of the team.

• Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.

Requirements

• Accounting Degree

• 5+ years Accounting experience

• Public Relations, Advertising or Law Firm/Accounting Firm industry experience – need Client/Time & Billing

• Advanced Excel Skills
