About The Position

Dotdash Meredith is seeking an Account Manager for the Dotdash Meredith Travel Marketing (DDMTM) team to support one of their Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) clients. DDMTM is responsible for the strategy and execution of the client's content marketing program, including, but not limited to: printed publications, digital website content, email marketing, podcast, video marketing, and social media. This role is hybrid (2-3x a week) in Dotdash Meredith's New York office.

About The Team:

Dotdash Meredith Travel Marketing is one of the nation's leading custom content agencies for state tourism offices, convention and visitors bureaus, and other destination marketing organizations - delivering award-winning print and digital solutions that set the standard in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Account Director with the day-to-day management of the client:

    • Responsible for organizing and running client meetings, as well as building client relationships across their organization.

    • Pulling monthly performance and insights for the client, as well as present in monthly metrics meeting. In addition, assist the social team by pulling weekly reporting on channel performance.

    • Management of all client marketing asset needs, in coordination with the marketing designer.

    • Assist with new and existing client opportunities for the client, including:

      • Compiling research and best practices for various client presentations.

      • Assist in the creation of marketing and sales presentations for the client.

  • Management of various content marketing programs for the client alongside the team's editorial staff. Examples include:

    • Paid promotion of editorial content

    • Podcast

    • SEO strategy and best practices

    • Video programming

    • Printed publications

    • Social media

  • Management of advertising sales against the client's owned channels:

    • Responsible for supporting the sales reps that manage the client's advertising efforts with industry partners.

  • Assist the Account Director on identifying new advertising opportunities against the client's owned channels.

About The Positions Contributions:

60% - Day-to-day management of the client's content marketing business, working alongside both the Account Director and editorial support team

20% - Management and support of the advertising sales efforts for the client's owned channels.

20% - Strategic ideation and development of new opportunities for the client.

The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in business, communications, marketing preferred.

Experience:

3-5 years minimum of account management and/or relevant marketing experience.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • The ideal candidate is an individual with a high level of initiative as well as strong organization and verbal/written communication skills. They are strategic thinking and have creative problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, as well as strong attention to detail.

  • General understanding of marketing across the mix and the desire to expand experience in channels such as digital and print content, podcast, video marketing, and more.

  • Experience with Google and Microsoft workspace apps (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint) as well as platforms such as Google Analytics and Google Ad Manager.

  • Previous client-facing agency experience is a plus.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
