Noble People Account Director in New York, New York
Noble People is seeking an outgoing, ambitious, and growth-minded agency and brand leader to join a growing Account Management team. As Account Director, you will act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, build excellent relationships with clients and creative agencies, curate outstanding client experiences, and be the agency’s expert at our client’s business and category. You will partner with clients to develop and oversee execution of goals, directives, and strategies to help fuel their business growth, while supporting the work and inspiring internal teams. Essential Functions Client Management • Grows accounts, win new business, execute industry recognized great work and case studies. • Be a category expert for every industry you work in. • Predict opportunities and concerns, determine best course of action, take it independently, unless it’s best to get approval. Know when. • Work with clients and internal teams to sync staff requirements with scope deliverables. • Be essential to your most senior clients as a true strategic partner. Know how important decisions get made in your client’s bureaucracy. Account Leadership • Make sure our agency’s work feels like business changing, strategic decisions. • Give media staff day to day client perspectives to help them be better at their work. Give agency leadership high-level client perspectives to help guide agency decisions • Calm and organize staff-facing challenges, while inspiring proactivity when teams are comfortable. • Notify agency owners of opportunities to engage clients, improve agency policies, and make for better work product. • In sea of senior opinions, subject matter expert peers, and agency owners giving opinions on work, be confident enough to call the play, merchandise it, and see it executed well. • Advise agency leaders on process, staffing, structure, policies, and business strategy. Marketing Expertise • Push for business impact, thoroughness, creativity, defendable rationale in Noble’s work reviews. • Represent the client’s best interests and business goals when reviewing work. Represent Noble’s values when speaking with a client. • Be a stand in for comms and media leaders when necessary, and be able to replicate their voice in meetings. Requirements • 7+ years years experience with a demonstrated track record of winning accounts and growing advertising or media accounts. • Experience managing or at least responsible for the output for 10+ people • If your background is at creative agencies, have meaningful exposure to media work. • If your background is at media agencies, have significant exposure to creative work and partnering with creative agency leaders to get to breakthrough integrated work • Eagerness to get in the weeds when necessary. • Judgment and delegation skills to have the greatest affect on most important things • Confidence, humility, wit, charm, passion, perspective, and be someone others want to work with and for.
