New York University 2025 - 2026 Assistant Professor of Marketing (full-time, tenure-track) in New York, New York

The Marketing Department at NYU Stern School of Business will be recruiting for one tenure-track assistant professor position in consumer behavior.

Located in New York City, the Stern Marketing Department is ranked as one of the top departments in the world based on research productivity. Our faculty currently consists of 26 full-time faculty members from all over the world with multiple areas of expertise including advertising, branding, consumer behavior, data analytics, decision-making, machine learning, market research, pricing, new product development, high-tech marketing, international marketing, and digital marketing.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $260,000. This pay range represents base pay only (for 9 months) and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Candidates should have a PhD, or candidates must have successfully defended their doctoral dissertation prior to appointment, and are expected to be productive researchers and effective teachers at undergraduate, MBA and PhD levels.
