About The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Property Accountant for CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions, an exciting and growing environment. This contributor will set up and coordinate SPV accounting for property companies, supporting preparation of regular monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages.

What You'll Do:

  • Produce property reporting packages and other required financial information and analytics.

  • Prepare and compile workpapers and financial data by performing detailed review of general ledger and other property owner reports.

  • Review lease abstracts and lease recurring charge set up.

  • Assist with audit and tax preparation and review.

  • Complete budgeting and forecasting reporting activities.

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, review cash balances, prepare capital calls or loan draws and distribution waterfalls, manage cash security deposits, and ensure fees payable to management company are accurately calculated and paid timely.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 2+ years accounting experience is required, with real estate accounting and analytics experience strongly preferred.

  • Proven knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations including an understanding of financial terms and principles to include accounting methods (cash, accrual, fair value, and full GAAP).

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

New York Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $80,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $95,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
