View, Inc. is seeking experienced System Engineers to work in a dynamic, collaborative, customer environment. SE will be responsible for sales support, training our trade partners, implementation, and service support.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety leadership experience – demonstrate the highest level of safety awareness and practice
Ability to Take ownership of tasks/projects and see them through to completion
Ability to become an expert with View hardware/UI and installation best-known practices
Own project scheduling to commission, test, inspect, and support View products at customer sites per design documentation
Lead direct interaction with customers; requires strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Train and coordinate with tradespeople (electricians, glaziers, etc.) project responsibility, expectations and quality of work
Troubleshoot issues and communicate status, resolution and long-term recommendations during installation
General understanding of Linux internals (system calls, file systems, processes, etc.…)
Cross functional leadership; working closely with Project Executives, Application Engineers, and customers to update schedules for work completion
Monitor and adjust control systems and train others in the use of controls
Respond expeditiously to customer service calls utilizing internal support escalations
Ability to work cross‐functionally with sales, product marketing, project management, product engineering, and operations; utilizing internal support escalations
Maintain appropriate service , repair records, and expenses
Monitor field installations with remote access and troubleshoot/correct issues
Document procedures and best practices for both internal and customer engineers and technicians
Aptitude and willingness to work technical support issues to resolution
Exercise judgment for managing escalations, priority setting, conflict resolution when facing multiple and concurrent service issues
Assess and document existing conditions prior to installations
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
BA in electrical/mechanical field or 7-10 Years of field engineering experience
Customer Support experience in both pre and post installation phases
Experience with pre-sales support of high value products
Experience working as a System Engineer or Field Engineer for HVAC, Lighting Controls, or other building automation system
Excellent and direct communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity reading, interpreting and redlining architectural, electrical and controls drawings and schematics
Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking
Demonstrated ability to produce quality work in a fast‐paced environment
Extremely detail‐oriented, accurate and ability to multi‐task
Strong computer skills with controls programming/configuration/diagnostics and Microsoft Office
Ability to shift focus among multiple priorities quickly
High tolerance of ambiguity and flexibility with respect to job roles and working hours
Will require up to 70% travel to customer sites
PMP certification preferred but not required
