Job Description
General Description
The Project Director is a 100%, 12 Month position and is responsible for all facets of designing, implementing, administering, supervising and evaluating the Lehman SSS/PTS project. The Project Director reports directly to the Principal Investigator.
Other Duties
The Project Director, with a caseload of 40 students will: administer the SSS/PTS project; supervise all personnel and staff; plan and coordinate academic support programs and establishes priorities; develop and implement recruitment strategies; establish effective relationships within the college and in the community to encourage and garner program support; share information on student status and progress with the Director and Support Staff of SEEK; serve as the primary liaison with the USDE; design and implement a comprehensive evaluation program to assess the impact of project services on participants; work with the Lehman Office of Institutional Research to plan and implement appropriate data gathering needs; meet with directors/coordinators of other college programs serving SSS/PTS eligible students; participate in state, regional, and national TRIO conferences and meetings; and become familiar with Federal Regulations, EDGAR, and SSS/PTS program regulations.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in education, counseling, administration, or related field.
3-5 years of increasingly responsible experience in an educational opportunity setting in higher education
5 years working with first-generation, low-income and disabled students in higher education
Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of program administration, personnel supervision, developing and monitoring program evaluations
Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, administrators, campus officials, community agencies and school and students backgrounds similar to the target population is preferred.
