Google Software Engineering Manager, Embedded Systems/Firmware, Silicon in New Taipei City, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python).

  • Experience in Embedded domain environments (e.g., firmware, Linux kernel, Android).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

  • Experience in software/firmware development across the android stack including kernel, Board Support Package (BSP), framework, and application to prove the feasibility of designs.

  • Experience in network operations, especially on device network offload acceleration on SoC to enhance its performance, reduce power and memory footprint.

  • Deploy next generation on device network offload acceleration and products on Google’s SoC, enhance its performance, and reduce power and memory footprint.

  • Contribute to the software and hardware architecture designs for Google SoCs and software features.

  • Build prototype/production software for embedded software stacks.

  • Build prototype/production software across the android stack (e.g., kernel, Board Support Package (BSP), framework, and application) to prove feasibility of designs.

  • Collaborate across organizations and teams to move the architecture design into production.
