Google Custom Silicon Operations Quality and Reliability Engineer in New Taipei City, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Material Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience as a Semiconductor Quality, Reliability and Failure Analysis Engineer.

  • Experience in data analysis using semiconductor production data.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Material Engineering.

  • 8 years of experience in Semiconductor Quality, Reliability, Failure Analysis, Silicon Validation, and Product Engineering.

  • Experience with SoC, PMIC, DRAM, and Modem productization.

  • Solid track record of technical leadership and executive communication.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google's powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you're right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google's infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Google's infrastructure fit together perfectly and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience.

  • Lead change control management and new production site qualifications for alternate sourcing and business continuity.

  • Support/Drive continuous quality monitoring and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts in the supply chain.

  • Manage failure analysis and ongoing reliability planning and deliverables.

  • Lead suppliers to establish and validate process capability and performance metrics (using statistical tools and techniques) for consistently delivering high quality products and excursion management.
