Business Manager

Responsible for managing the sales forecast for our largest Grocery customer, Woolworths, including leading the strategy, creation and implementation of JCP plans.

This position reports into the Grocery Director and is based at Ultimo, Sydney.

What You Will Do

The Business Manager is responsible for:

  • Delivering insight driven Joint Customer Plans that demonstrate a deep understanding of the Woolworths business to deliver business goals of sales, share and profit growth

  • Monitoring and controlling CIW/Trade Spend line with set customer targets

  • Coaching and developing 2 x National Account Managers and 1 Claims Analyst to support the teams growth and development of key talent

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing strong partnerships with the Woolworths business to accelerate performance

  • Cross-functionally working and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive business results and engagement

  • Achieve Woolworths financial targets and work with the customer to build a long-term strategy for category growth through effective business partnership

  • Be the voice of the customer internally, championing activation and execution opportunities

  • Translating insights into viable category strategies and plans that optimise and create value for both businesses

  • Playing a pivotal role in the development and deployment of long-term strategy rooted in insight

  • Work collaboratively with the National Field Team to ensure objectives support account plans and monthly targets are tracked, measured and delivered

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Business relevant university degree

  • Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to translate this into effective business decision making

  • Proven success in developing and executing customer JCPs

  • Demonstrated people leadership qualities

  • Experience working with and managing Grocery customers

Desired Qualifications

  • 10 years Sales and Category Experience in FMCG, managing National Accounts

  • Experience working in a matrix environment
