Westchester Jewish Community Services Social Worker - Linkages in New Rochelle, New York

Overview:

Linkages is a coordinated mental health/juvenile justice model program that works in collaboration with the Department of Probation and serves youth and families. This is a 10 hours per week Social Work position, with a compensation range of $30.21 - $35.10 per hour.

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial evaluations on youth involved with Probation.

  • Work collaboratively with the Department of Probation and community service providers.

  • Maintain thorough documentation, including case file notes, consents, referral forms and other relevant documentation.

  • Operate independently in various host offices throughout Westchester.

  • Knowledge and expertise in adolescent development/diagnosis/behavioral challenges.

  • Function as a well-organized team member.

  • Expertise in verbal and written clinical communication.

  • Effectively engage with clients and family members.

  • Identify community resources and make referrals when appropriate.

  • Attend trainings on various topics related to adolescent development.

    Requirements:

    We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work

  • License to practice Social Work in the State of New York or Licensure must be acquired within six months of date of hire.

  • A vehicle and driver’s license in order to travel throughout Westchester County.

  • Thorough knowledge of adolescent development.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
