The Special Process Engineer (Chemical Processes) is responsible for all specials processes throughout the New Port Richey, Floria plant. This role provides direct support for all chemical finishing operations, including Anodize, Nitric Acid Passivations, Hard Coat Finishes and Chromate Conversion coatings. It also supports maintaining all NADCAP certifications for all special chemical processes in the plant.

This position is a key member of the operations engineering team responsible for ensuring day-to-day results and developing and executing data-supported, root cause focused action plans that support breakthrough KPI results aided by the implementation of LEAN (DBS) tools and practices. This role is located onsite in New Port Richey, FL.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop solutions to repetitive failures and other maintenance problems and provides troubleshooting support for all anodizing assets/systems.

• Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective processes and methods in accordance with product specifications, quality, and health/safety standards. Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls.

• Design, develop and test and/or source and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.

• Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment, and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.

• Devise and implement preventative, total productive and predictive maintenance plans to drive equipment reliability to best in class.

  The essential requirements of the job include:

• BS degree in Engineering.

• 5 years of previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment supporting special chemical processes.

  This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. US citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
