Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) i.e., Assistant Operations Officer (G1) in the Operation Branch, G1 on the staff of the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve (COMMARFORRES) of MARFORRES NOLA. Responsibilities You will serve as the primary assistant to the G1 Operations’ Branch Head (Operations Officer). You will perform independent supervisory work regarding attention and conformity to established procedures, policies and directives governing the G1 Operations Branch. You will serve as the Organizational Agency Program Coordinator (OAPC) for the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC), for the Reserve Forces. You will serve as a Senior Military Human Resources Specialist for the Marine Corps Reserve with the responsibilities of liaison with Headquarters Marine Corps and other external agencies. You will manage and supervise the development and implementation of Marine Corps and Marine Forces Reserve policies and procedures. You will develop procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of the G1 Operations Branch and Administration throughout the Marine Corps Reserve Component. You will Supervise and manage civilians and Marines of the G1 Operations Branch. You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for all matters related to military reserve component pay, allowances, emergency evacuation entitlements, and the mobilization and activation of reserve units and individuals. You will manage and supervise Military Human Resources management with an emphasis on military reserve component pay, allowances, emergency evacuation entitlements, and the mobilization and activation of reserve units and individuals. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and advising management on the effectiveness of programs related to personnel administration (e.g., Military personnel (both active duty and reserve)) AND act as an approving official for official travel authorizations.
