The Role:

Ensure orders are complete to HOB specification, and all special requests have been honored.Deliver orders personally or via servers to the guests. Be the Conduit of all information between Front of House and Back of House

Responsibilities:

Perform Opening/Running/Closing/Weekly duties

Clean and stock line to par throughout shift

Keep line neat and clean throughout the shift

Keep floor neat, clean and free of food, trash and other obstacles throughout shift

Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift

Maintain House of Blues safety and sanitation standards

Plate Preparation

Ensure all orders are to HOB specification

Garnish all plates per menu descriptions

Coordinate plates with tickets

Coordinate hot and cold orders

Ensure that special order instructions have been followed

Ensure that food is delivered to tables in timely manner

Wrap “to go” items

Assist in delivering food to tables, as needed

Serve as a link between front and back of house, communicating necessary information in a direct and concise manner

Explain modifiers to kitchen staff

Maintain specials and “out of stock” information

Communicate information to Manager on Duty regarding ticket times

Communicate any guest requests and comments to proper server

Assist other employees as needed

Assist servers in food delivery

Assist bussers when time allows

Attend pre-shift meeting conducted by Manager on Duty prior to start of each shift

Qualifications:

Required:

(State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement)/Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent

High volume kitchen operations

Food Service as either an Expeditor or Server in a high volume environment

Exceptional communication skills

Sense of Urgency

Time Management

Kitchen sanitation standards

Critical thinking and decision making

Preferred:

Point of Sales experiencePhysical Demands/Working Environment

:Work environment is fast-paced

Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet

Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
