CTG is seeking to fill aCircuit Layout Designeropeningfor our Fortune 100 client based in Rochester, MN. Remote and onsite work are both possibilities. Initial training will occur at the site in Rochester, MN.

Project Location:Remote, work from home

Project Duration:6 months with possible extension

Pay Range: Based on experience

Description:

Create the mask design (layout) for circuits in support of 14 nm FinFet technology node and beyond. Experience with lower nodes 7nm/FinFet or prior will be considered but may require a longer period to get up to speed with current technology.

Circuits will include but not limited to Register File Arrays, SRAM’s, Custom Analog, and supporting sub circuits. Mask Designer will provide layout per design requirements and will be responsible for floor planning or ground rules updates throughout the project.

Mask Designer will obtain schematics through regular interlocks with the Schematic Designer that will include a review of the critical and sensitive aspects of the design, and agreement on the needed schedule.

• The designer will provide layouts meeting schematic and functional requirements that are optimized for power and area using industry standard Cadence Layout tool suite including Vituoso XL

• Will be responsible for overall layout ownership of sub blocks and certain major blocks

• Validate for manufacturing ground rules, yield and methodology using client recommended tools for Design Rule Checking (DRC)

• Validate to match the schematic using client's recommended tools for Layout to Schematic checking (LVS)

• Meets timing, noise, electro-migration and power supply voltage drop requirements as defined by Schematic Designer

• Design must mitigate technology effects using agreed upon design practices (matching devices, coupling, shielding, current flow direction, etc.)

• Support the schedule required by the program

• Familiarity with SKILL programming is preferred, but not required

• Familiarity with analog devices is preferred, examples include inductors, metal capacitors, wide gate devices, etc.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.
