Naval Supply Systems Command SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in New London, Connecticut
Summary You will serve as a Supply Technician of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will formulate recommendations for corrective action when deficiencies and unsatisfactory conditions are encountered. You will evaluate functions using the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan and organization's checklists. You will provide assistance through oral and written guidance prior to and during data collection. You will analyze data, draw conclusions, and present findings. You will analyze and evaluate the supply operation performance to determine if performance complies with established procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing supply support to include the receipt, stowage/issue, packing and shipping, processing requisitions, quality assurance, equipment management and oversight of supply processes and procedures. Specialized experience may including the following: 1) Following prescribed procedures to conduct quality assurance surveillance methods such as random sampling, planned sampling and evaluating customer service complaints to assist with analyzing performance; 2) Performing quality control investigations throughout various areas i.e.,.storage, receiving, packing, shipping, or inventory control; 3) Assisting with analyzing and evaluating supply operation performance to ensure compliance with established standards; 4) Investigating customer complaints and deficiency reports to recommend corrective actions; 5) Preparing quality surveillance reports and maintaining files.
