Our growing and dynamic client is searching for a Sr. Accountant to join their team in the greater Hartford County, Connecticut area. This is an exciting HYBRID long-term interim role with the possibility of permanent employment and a progressing career trajectory. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including managing day-to-day accounting activities, and handling month-end close activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in driving and executing day-to-day accounting activities

• Drive month-end close activities

• Calculate and process journal entries and analyze various account reconciliations

• Ensure general ledger accuracy

• Liaise with auditors and drive audit process

• Lead and participate in various projects and job responsibilities

Requirements

• Applicant must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related field. CPA preferred.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential for this role.

• Experience in handling general ledger tasks is required.

• Ability to prepare and manage journal entries is necessary.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.

• Experience in corporate treasury is desired.

• The ability to handle month-end close activities is a must.

• Experience in managing monthly accruals is necessary.

• The candidate should have experience in conducting balance sheet reviews.

• Audit experience, particularly in a corporate setting, is essential.

• A strong understanding of CapEx is required
