Honeywell Senior Portfolio Manager - Renewables Solutions in New Jersey

The Honeywell Senior Portfolio Manager is responsible for developing and optimizing an offering portfolio strategy, with a focus on electrification solutions and sustainability. This strategy is crafted based on customer insights, competitive and market intelligence, and executed to enhance the electrification offerings, market position, organic growth, and financial return of the product portfolio throughout its lifecycle. The Senior Portfolio Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional departments, such as engineering/R&D, manufacturing/sourcing, software development, internal sales, field sales, marketing, and Honeywell senior executives, to maximize the growth, development, and return on investment of the organization’s product portfolio, aiding customers in meeting their sustainability goals and achieving net zero targets. In pursuit of portfolio expansion and growth. The Senior Portfolio Manager will also lead the evaluation of M&A opportunities and partnership engagements, assessing strategic fit and potential value creation opportunities.

Travel: Up to 40% around the US

Ideal Candidate Experience:

  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in product management, portfolio management, or related roles, with significant experience in leadership positions.

  • Have strong background in solar generation, solar PV in a building level.

  • Expertise executing solar projects, behind the meter.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market trends and customer insights into actionable portfolio strategies.

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex product portfolios, driving growth, and delivering financial results.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in product lifecycle management (PLM) tools, financial analysis, and portfolio optimization strategies.

  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across multiple departments

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product portfolio strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and market opportunities.

  • Conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, and customer segmentation to identify portfolio gaps, opportunities, and trends.

  • Define and prioritize portfolio investments based on strategic fit, market potential, and financial viability.

Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation through to end-of-life decisions, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, sales, and finance to define product roadmaps and ensure timely execution of portfolio initiatives.

  • Drive product innovation, differentiation, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain competitive advantage.

Financial and Business Performance:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product portfolio, including revenue growth, profitability, market share, and return on investment (ROI).

  • Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budget management to optimize portfolio performance and resource allocation.

  • Make data-driven decisions and recommendations for resource allocation, portfolio prioritization, and investment strategies.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and senior management on portfolio strategy, performance, and market trends.

  • Present portfolio strategies, business cases, and performance updates to key stakeholders, including board of directors and investors.

  • Foster strong relationships and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive portfolio success.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers and portfolio analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.

  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration within the product portfolio management team.

  • Foster a high-performance team environment focused on achieving business goals and delivering exceptional results.

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is <$150,000 - $180,0000>. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is <$160,000 - $200,000>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. This position is incentive plan eligible.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum of 10 years of expertise in managing a portfolio of products, projects, and investments.

  • Proven track record in portfolio performance management and lifecycle management.

  • Proven experience managing BESS and/or Solar PV products.
