About the Position Verdant Specialty Solutions is looking for a Temporary Material Handler for a 6 month assignment , this position will be responsible for many functions within materials management that support the overall handling, storing, and shipping of specialty chemicals.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations and use all proper PPE when at this facility.
Read and sign “Job Safety Analyses” daily prior to starting work each day.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and warehouse.
Read and understand blend instructions on “Blend Sheet”.
Retrieve raw materials from inventory using forklift.
Off-load drums and tanks from delivery trucks using forklift.
Assist with conducting inventory when necessary.
Transfer chemical from mixing tank to tote tanks and drums using transfer pumps.
Properly label chemical products for shipping.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Forklift Certified
Ability to plan and organize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Possess good mathematical problem solving and computer skills.
Successful completion of the company's pre-employment process which includes a drug screen, criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
