Responsibilities

CNH Industrial currently has an opening for a 3rd shift Engineering Prototype Shop Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position at our Engineering Facility in New Holland, Pennsylvania. Position requires working with computer design drawings, engineering specifications, and verbal instructions to fabricate, machine, weld, assemble and rework a variety of prototype components, lab fixtures, and test vehicles. Successful candidate will enter into a comprehensive four-year training program consisting of on-the-job training and related home study courses.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following: Proven mechanical background and ability. Desire to develop highly skilled shop practices in fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools and techniques. Experienced with personal computers using MS Office. Ability to communicate and work with a wide range of individuals including design, test and analysis. Must be a motivated self-starter and be able to work independently or in a team environment Must have the ability to travel to different locations / field sites as required (15 to 25% - 12 week maximum) Desired candidates will possess the following: 3-5 years fabrication/machining/assembly experience in a manufacturing and/or prototype shop environment Blue print and Geometrical Dimensioning knowledge and understanding Two year Trade School Degree with emphasis in Manufacturing, Fabrication, Machining, Welding or Automotive Ability to lead or facilitate teams through prototype builds Ability to write CNC programs. Math skills (Trigonometry)
