Serving the US, Canada, and Latin America, our division boasts approximately 9,000 dedicated employees throughout the region. The corporate accounting and shared service teams are seeking a Senior Accountant to enhance our team in New Haven. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager and promises regular collaboration with divisional VP’s of finance.

We are in search of an experienced accounting professional who embodies a spirit of continuous improvement and possesses a strategic mindset. This is a prime opportunity for a seasoned accountant to become a part of our dynamic and professional organization.

What you will be doing as Senior Accountant

  • Oversee and prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Manage intercompany allocations and billings.

  • Assist with the external audit process, ensuring corporate accounting duties are fulfilled.

  • Oversee the adherence to internal controls and procedures.

  • Support internal audit activities when necessary.

  • Aid in financial activities of newly onboarded businesses.

  • Engage in special projects and analyses, always seeking continuous improvement in processes.

  • Assist with financial integration activities of newly acquired businesses.

  • Help in the crafting of PowerPoint presentations to depict financial insights.

    What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

  • Certified Public Accountant with Big Four experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience is required.

  • Experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a multi-divisional or multi-plant manufacturing setting.

  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards in line with GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.

  • Team player who can work independently and under pressure, prioritizing tasks efficiently.

  • Attention to detail is a must, along with an emphasis on continuous improvement and strategic thinking.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of pivot tables, vlook-ups, and SmartView queries

  • Familiarity with Hyperion, JD Edwards, and FloQast is advantageous.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Potential for limited travel, up to 5% if necessary.
