Indium Corporation Regional Sales Manager - Midwest in New Hartford, New York

JOB SUMMARY: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for serving as Indium’s lead sales contact and customer advocate to maintain existing sales and to drive new qualifications and sales of Indium products through effective account management and coordination of efforts throughout Indium, resulting in evaluation, qualification, specification, and maximum customer share for Indium products by customers located within a defined territory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

• Proactively contact and schedule visits with customers and potential customers to build/maintain rapport and increase/improve overall relationships

• Develop, cultivate and follow-up with prospective customers and customer contacts with the goal of generating orders for products and services

• Gain early insight into customer future needs/qualifications and engage Indium as a strategic development partner

• Identify customer requirements and priorities and effectively convey such throughout the Indium organization

• Build strong, trusting relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at existing and target accounts and gain favored advantages for the use of Indium products

• Gather competitive insight, including pricing, delivery and performance information, and share such intelligence with internal departments as applicable

• Work within an established budget, while increasing market share

• Respond to customer requests for product data and product/service information, and any possible trouble shooting

• Visit customer facilities to observe manufacturing processes and exchange information

• Promote industry recognition of Indium Corporation, its products and services through engaging in tradeshows, organizations, etc., coordinating attendance activities as needed

• Actively participate in planning for the region’s building of goals and objectives, and work towards meeting these goals and objectives

• Be a key member of the overall team, which includes the worldwide sales organization, product management, operations, engineering, R&D etc., and communicate openly and effectively

• Submit required paperwork in a timely manner, such as visit reports, sales objective and monthly summary reports

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science or Engineering

• 5 years related sales experience

• Technical aptitude

• Personable individual, who is a skilled communicator and negotiator

• Strong organizational, management and presentation skills

• Able to travel upon short notice

• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

LOCATION:

This position is based remotely in the Midwest region of the United States. Candidates are expected to be located near a major airport with the ability to travel.

WAGE DISCLOSURE:

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.

$81,500 -$ 133,500 annually
