Process Metallurgist Opportunity

We are looking for a talented and driven Process Metallurgist to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in addressing technical challenges, defining internal requirements, and ensuring products meet customer expectations. You’ll work closely with both our team and clients to ensure smooth operations, continual improvement, and excellence in product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define key process parameters, establish process capabilities, and create effective control methodologies.

  • Develop efficient manufacturing methods to meet product specifications and requirements.

  • Lead sustainable initiatives in cost reduction, process improvement, and product yield enhancement.

  • Monitor product performance, including physical characteristics such as length, straightness, and surface condition.

  • Review customer specifications to ensure compliance and acceptance.

  • Collaborate with sales teams and customers to bridge any gaps between customer requirements and our capabilities.

  • Maintain document control systems and databases.

  • Participate in management reviews and contribute insights as needed.

  • Serve as a key contact for customers on quality-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science; an advanced degree is a plus.

  • 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of physical metallurgy and thermomechanical processing.

  • Hands-on knowledge of VAR/VIM/ESR melting processes is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present reports and updates to senior leadership.

Special Skills:

  • Deep understanding of metal properties and processing techniques.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal teams and external customers.

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities to address customer concerns effectively.

  • Ability to make sound, informed decisions in a timely manner.

  • Strong communication, with a knack for presenting complex ideas to senior leadership.

  • Customer-focused approach with an eye for quality and detail.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 per year
