Description We are looking for a meticulous Financial Aid Analyst/Specialist to join our team in New Gloucester, Maine. The role involves managing student billing, executing financial aid tasks, and ensuring accurate reporting in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process student billing efficiently

• Run regular reports to ensure system accuracy

• Work closely with student advisors to resolve any billing issues

• Handle student refunds as needed

• Maintain and reconcile Excel spreadsheets related to financial aid and billing

• Provide top-notch customer service to students and staff regarding financial aid and billing inquiries

• Possibility to work overtime hours if necessary

• Comply with financial aid regulations and perform low-level processing tasks

• Handle non-standard packaging every five weeks

• Utilize skills in customer service and billing to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in financial aid or related roles

• Strong knowledge of financial aid programs, regulations, and procedures

• Experience with customer service and billing procedures

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and institutional regulations related to financial aid

• Proficiency with financial aid management software and systems

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to advise and assist students and families

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
